ROLE DESCRIPTION

AI has invested heavily in technology to support the operations of its various business lines and subsidiaries. The Firm requires an experienced operations professional to assist in the further development of internal processes and to ensure that they are consistently executed as designed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reconcile trades and positions between external and internal portfolio teams, prime brokers and fund administrators on behalf of the firm and its local market subsidiaries
• Investigate and cure any trade breaks
• Recommend enhancements to current processes and controls
• Support management in the various financial accounting functions
• Serve as interim compliance officer
• Address client and portfolio manager queries
• Assist in preparing financial reports to support external auditors for firm and fund audits
• Hire and mentor junior members of the operations and risk teams

REQUIRED TRAITS AND SKILLS

• Undergraduate or graduate degree with a preference for candidates with CPA/CA or CFA designations (or working towards)
• 2+ years’ experience in an operations role at a financial institution, with experience in the life cycle of public markets trading, including listed and OTC derivatives
• Strong knowledge of all major asset classes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Desire to continually learn and broaden skillset
• Exceptional work ethic and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Unwavering fortitude to voice opinions with conviction based on facts
• Entrepreneurial spirit
